Sometimes success can be the sweetest form of revenge. A few years ago, many media watchers were predicting that Megyn Kelly’s broadcast journalism career was over. Nothing could be further from the truth. After launching her podcast in 2020, The Megyn Kelly Show, she’s actually smashing multiple mainstream news outlets in terms of total viewers.

Kelly used to have the top-rated primetime spot on Fox News. A very public feud with Donald Trump erupted in 2016 when Kelly couldn’t keep her female solipsism to herself, and that was the end of that. She then went to NBC News for a few years. Her woke colleagues couldn’t bear to have a nominal conservative like Kelly in the office, she was forced out of there in 2019.

Now that she’s just doing a solo podcast, Kelly has put up some incredible numbers when compared to some of the news stations she used to work for. According to Semafor, here is how The Megyn Kelly Show compared to a bunch of mainstream news outlets on YouTube in July:

  • Megyn Kelly Show – 116.8 million views
  • NBC News – 78 million views
  • CBS News – 83 million views
  • Sky News – 87 million views
  • BBC News – 72 million views
  • CNBC – 17 million views

Those numbers aren’t even close. If that was an election result, everyone would be saying she won by a landslide.

The reality is that podcasts have largely replaced the mainstream media as the place where most Americans prefer to get their news in 2024. That’s why Donald Trump has been doing so many podcast appearances this year.

No one wants to sit there and listen to Democrat Party bootlickers like Lawrence O’Donnell or Joe Scarborough lie to their faces when they have options like Tucker Carlson, Dan Bongino, and Megyn Kelly to listen to instead.
